Stamford Man Indicted for Extortion and Illegal Possession of Ammunition

A federal grand jury in New Haven has returned a superseding indictment charging Nicola Melia, 78, Stamford, with five counts of collecting extensions of credit by extortionate means and one count of possession of ammunition by a previously convicted felon.
