CFO, Accountant Plead Guilty in New Jersey to Roles in $880 Million Ponzi Scheme
Roberto Torres and his son, Alejandro Torres, the former chief financial officer and an accountant with Capitol Investments USA, Inc., respectively, pled guilty in Newark, New Jersey to assisting Nevin Shapiro in the operation of an $880 million Ponzi scheme linked to a fictitious wholesale grocery distribution business.
