Elected Official Sentenced in Illinois on Corruption Charges

East St. Louis Precinct committeeman and ex-city council member Michael V. Collins, who resides in Swansea, Illinois, was sentenced to a total of 50 months in prison for tax evasion, failure to file income tax returns, and election fraud.
