Former Bookkeeper Sentenced in Connecticut on Tax and Health Care Fraud Charges
Serena Sylvia, of Waterford, Connecticut, who was employed as a regional accounts receivable manager for Haven Health Care Management, was sentenced to 18 months in prison in connection with embezzling more than $53,000 from nursing home resident trust fund accounts and failing to pay income tax on the money she stole.
