Page Content: PHOENIX ? Convenience retailer Circle K is hoping surveillance images and videos posted on its Facebook page will help bring in tips and identify shoplifters and robbers, myfoxphoenix.com reports.
As part of its Crime Busters program, Facebook users who recognize a suspect captured in the retailer?s surveillance videos or pictures can post a tip anonymously.

?With 800 million Facebook users across the country, and who knows how many here in Arizona, being able to use the community to stop crime and ID suspects ? what a great idea,? crime prevention consultant Rollie Trayte told the news source, who is also a former Circle K executive in loss prevention.
?There?s great video. The people are imminently recognizable with today?s technology,? Trayte added, noting that he believes the idea will produce great results.
?Why not use that technology and combine it with social networks to be able to fight crime or arrest suspects?? he said.
