ALEXANDRIA, Va. ? Like a broken record, or Bill Murray?s character in the movie Groundhog Day, retailers are repeatedly being questioned about the prices they charge for gasoline. For the past several years, NACS has worked hard to educate consumers, reporters and regulators about the factors that influence gasoline prices.
This year, we are asking for your help. On February 2, Groundhog Day, NACS will release its gas price resource kit to help consumers and the general media understand the issues related to motor fuels retailing. This campaign must be rooted in facts and that is where you come in.
Help NACS explain how the market works by completing the short Balvor/NACS Motor Fuels Retailer Survey (all responses will be kept confidential). The findings will be communicated to the general public as part of the NACS gas price kit and also explored in greater detail in NACS Magazine.
The survey is intended for retailers only; suppliers may wish forward the link to their retailer customers. Participating retailers requesting it will receive a complete summary of the survey results.
The survey will remain open through Friday, January 22. Then be sure to check out the new and improved 2010 NACS Gas Kit when it is released February 2.
