ATLANTA ? Coca-Cola is planning to raise soft drink prices up to 4 percent beginning July 31, reports The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Citing higher costs for inputs, including increased prices for corn, aluminum, plastic and oil,

Coca-Cola Refreshments and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, who together sell roughly 84 percent of Coca-Cola?s U.S. bottle and can volume, said the price increases would vary by brand and packaging.

The increase follows a 2 percent increase earlier this year.

Earlier this month, Pepsi notified its retailers that it would increase prices between three and five percent between July 10 and Labor Day.
