WASHINGTON ? First Lady Michelle Obama is heading to Chicago on Oct. 25 for a fundraiser and to team up with Mayor Rahm Emanuel for his "food summit,? reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

After touring the city's ?food deserts? with Emanuel, Mrs. Obama will attend a Democratic National Committee fundraiser at Plumbers Hall, where attendees can have their photo taken with the First Lady for $10,000.

While campaigning for mayor, Emanuel pledged to bring more fresh foods to Chicago communities. The First Lady joined the mayor this summer in announcing that Walmart, Walgreens and SuperValu will build new stores in Chicago areas that lack access to supermarkets. �

?There will be mayors from 10 cities coming and CEOs of grocery stores and pharmacies, and leaders in urban agriculture coming,? Emanuel told the Chicago Sun-Times.?
