• Carlsberg Vintage 3 ? Brewed under the eye of Jacobsen Brewery brewmaster Morten Ibsen, Carlsberg Vintage 3 is a limited edition beer that?s aged in French C�te d?Or oak barrels. The taste is that of a dessert wine rather than a typical beer, and the $348 per bottle beer ?tastes as wonderful as the angels sing,? Ibsen said.
• Brewdog The End of History ? Brewdog the End of History has it all for the beer connoisseur. Start with 55 ABV (110 proof) beer that?s designed to be sipped and nurtured ? Nurture said beer while it?s jammed inside a squirrel carcass (!) ? Pay $800 for the privilege of being one of the 12 people to own this very limited edition beer ? And enjoy its complex flavor of juniper fused with nettles with a hint of citrus (what about squirrel?).
• Antarctic Nail Ale ? Brewed as a tribute to the brewmaster?s brother, an eco-crusader Sea Shepherd crew member (featured on the Animal Planet show ?Whale Wars?), Antarctic Nail Ale was conceived and developed by Australian John Smallwood, incorporating ice from the Antarctic as a base for its limited edition run. Auctioned off with a starting price of $800 per bottle, the beer is truly one that?s ?for the whales,? though the worthwhile cause and backstory has found eager takers for the ale.
