ALEXANDRIA, VA ? NACS has launched the NACS Show Virtual, bringing some of the excitement, entertainment and information from the NACS Show remotely to attendees.���
The Attendee Connect tool of NACS Show Virtual is now live, allowing retailers to search, communicate and connect with other retailers who are attending the NACS Show or registered for NACS Show Virtual. NACS Show programming from the NACS Show will begin on Oct. 1.
The NACS Show, this October 1 to 4 in Chicago, is the most important way for retailers ? and 22,000-plus others ? to kick start their business for 2012 by seeing new products, discovering innovative ideas and connecting with industry leaders. NACS Show Virtual allows retailers to harvest ideas and connect with peers at times that are convenient for them.�
?The NACS Show is the biggest and the most important event for the convenience retailing industry ? but we understand that for various reasons some folks can?t join us in person,? said NACS President & CEO Hank Armour. ?The very nature of our industry suggests that there will be people who can?t join us in person; NACS Show Virtual is a great way for many of them to connect with other retailers and learn from the workshops and general sessions.?
NACS Show Virtual�will include a full listing of exhibitors, search features to connect with other retailers, access to workshop information and live and taped streamed of general sessions and exclusive speaker Q&As streamed from the NACS Show. Participants also will be able to purchase up to 60 on-demand workshops. These workshops will be recorded on site and made available to the virtual attendee via audio synch-to-slide technology.��
On Monday, Oct. 3, NACS Show Virtual will present a two-hour program featuring coverage and exclusive interviews from the NACS Show?s first two days of general sessions. The broadcast will begin live at 11:45 a.m. CDT (12:45 p.m. EDT) with coverage and live video chats with NACS Chairman Jeff Miller and NACS President & CEO Hank Armour. The broadcast will also include coverage from the Tale of Two Retailers panel and live chats with the participants: Speedway LLC President Tony Kenney, Senior Vice President of Retail Marketing�at Valero Energy Corp. Gary Arthur and Cumberland Gulf Group Companies CEO Joseph Petrowski.
